Last Sunday, Caitlin Hannigan took part in an invitational 5km race walk at Currumbin. This race covered the potential course for the Commonwealth Games.

Caitlin and some of her training partners were given the opportunity to compete with Claire Talent, Dane Bird-Smith, Jess Pickles and Clara Smith, all Australian representatives.

Caitlin raced extremely well knocking a massive 2 minutes off her 5km PB finishing in 24 minutes 38 sec. This is an amazing achievement for such a young athlete.

Caitlin is a wonderful example for all students as she consistently demonstrates the value of hard work, dedication and commitment.
