REMAR Solidarity Week

9 October, 2017
The Year 11 students in the REMAR Blue Caravel started the Term 4 with a week in Murgon!
The 12 students participating in their Blue Solidarity Camp spent the week at St Joseph’s Primary School in Murgon and were actively involved in various realms of the school.
The students were able to engage with the students both within and outside of the classroom, facilitating sport and sharing quality time during lunch times.
Whilst in Murgon the students also visited the local nursing home where they sung and then spent time in conversation with the appreciative residents.
On the Thursday, students visited the Ration Shed Museum and were involved in a very insightful and reflective tour. Students gained a sincere appreciation of the Indigenous history and community of Cherbourg.
Humility, Loyalty and Solidarity are the key focus for this year’s Caravel journey and I am very proud to say that each characteristic was embraced and reflected on this priceless experience away.
Congratulations Blue Caravel – you were awesome!
