Vocational Education

​​​Trinity College Beenleigh offers a wide variety of vocational education qualifications, across a range of industry areas. Trinity College delivers 20 nationally recognised qualifications on our campus facilities and provides pathways for students who wish to undertake TAFE, apprenticeships, traineeships and workplace opportunities.

School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships

Trinity College has a dedicated Pathways and Industry Officer to assist students to gain School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships. The College has connections with employers in various industries and connects students with opportunities. Students are in regular communication with the Pathways and Industry Officer to ensure that all aspects of their studies are progressing well. The purpose of this opt-in program is to assist students on their pathway to securing a trade apprenticeship in their field of interest before leaving school. Through their participation in this program all students will achieve a pre-vocational certificate II relating to their specific trade during year 11 which include the fields of automotive, electrotechnology, construction, plumbing, manufacturing, engineering, hair dressing, barbering and retail cosmetics. 

The program also provides students with real exposure to industry through work experience in year 10, Industry Placement week in year 11 and 12, and numerous work site visits, careers panels, personal development workshops and networking opportunities over the two years.​

Traineeship Pathways Program

​The purpose of a traineeship is to offer year 11-12 students a direct link into the workforce whilst also gaining a nationally recognised qualification.  Through the traineeship program, students are paid employees in often their first experience in the workforce. Trinity College provides support to the students throughout their participation in the program which leads to very successful outcomes in relation to completion of qualifications and ongoing work and post school pathways.



La Valla Trade Training Centre

The La Valla Trade Training Centre is a state of the art training facility located on the college campus. La Valla has a fully operational automotive mechanical bay, a construction workshop and an industry standard salon. Through our strong partnership with TAFE, students may undertake a Certificate II Automotive (Vocational Preparation), Certificate II in Electrotechnology, Certificate II Retail Cosmetics or a Certificate II in Salon Assistant while at school.
